Bum-soo is a traffic control officer who dreams of becoming a baseball
umpire. By chance, he meets Hyun-ju, a theatre major who aspires to
become an actress. When her car crashes into a tree, instead of finding her,
he teaches her how to drive. Gradually the two fall in love with each other.
Bum-soo proposes to Hyun-ju, only to be rejected as she is scheduled to
leave Korea to study overseas. Several years later, the two each are living
out their dreams: Bum-soo as an umpire and Hyun-ju as YOO Harin, an up-
and-coming starlet. One day, bum-soo discovers Hyun-ju is too far out of
reach from him, Bum-soo takes a shot at a rendez-vous on the baseball field
